1008 Sivalingam Temple

1008 Sivalingam Temple is a famous saivite temple situated at Ariyanur, Salem. This temple has been constructed within 41 days in the year 2010. Vinayaka Mission constructed this temple and is maintaining it by separate department. Main deity is Umaiyambigai Samedha Sri Arunachala Sundareswara surrounded by 1007 Sivalingam over a hillock. Height of the Sivalingam is 17 inch. Big Ganesha statue is installed at the foothills. Apart from this Aarupadaiveedu Murugan, Raja Rajeshwari, Mahalakshmi, Anjaneyar and Venkatesa Perumal temples can be seen in this hillock. Separate shrines are devoted to Dakshinamoorthy, Lord Murugan along with his consorts and Ayyappan. Temple tower has been illustrated with sculptures of churning of ocean. One can reach the top by walk or by means of car. Camera and Video camera are allowed here. Sangagiri mount can be seen from the top of this hillock. NH-47 is located at a distance of 185 m.

Devotees can worship Arupadai veedu sanctums [Tiruchendur Sri Senthil Andavar, Palani Sri Dhandayuthabani, Swamimalai Sri Swamynathaswamy, Thiruthani Subramania Swamy along with his consorts, Palamuthircholai Sri Solamalai Murugan along with his consorts and Thiruparankundram Subramanya Swamy] at this place which are imitated here.
